I can't believe I missed protecting this

I'll just have to be content to give you an outstanding review and add to your review score.

First off, I obviously voted five, how could anyone after witnessing such an obviously genius work not vote five is a mystery to me. Quoting this outside of context would not do justice to the genius of its humor, and would detract from the surprise one gets enjoying this.

Everything was there... and I mean everything. I love the comic book/children's book style employed for graphics and style, and the violence was absolutely essential in telling the bob the ball tale. 10's all around except for interactivity, but... who the hell wants a flash MOVIE to be interactive? I know I don't. (play button and preloader exempted).

This is great, I hope you at least make it into a trilogy, that is all I would ask, any more and the idea may get sour, and you owe it to yourself not to let such a great concept go bad.

In closing, a job well done, and I look forward to many more movies from you, as I will be finally updating my favorites list to include this submission, and you as an author.

mlaskaris responds:

Yeah, I agree the interactivity score is kinda useless for this kind of movie...

And I agree that I would not want to do much more than a trilogy, I only have plans for 3 episodes, and I do agree that this style can get stale pretty fast. I will make two Flash music videos before I begin work on Bob 3. They probably won't score as well as a Bob episode, but oh well.

Thanks for the review, vote, and adds to favorites!

Got to admit its getting better, a little better..

Madness is great, nay AWESOME. It gets more incredible every time. Honestly, people who say the bodies are easy to draw and say anybody can do them don't know what they're talking about, I see very few copies of Krinkel's style (which is almost completely original anyway).

To those who say this movie is exactly the same as the other three: *Buzzer* WRONG! This movie is a major improvement plotwise and everything else. First of all, when have you guys seen the camera do those angles in a Madness movie? I don't remember usage of anything else but a side-scrolling format before. Also added were major plot elements, such as the hinting beforehand of the injuries he's recieved and how he's just bandaged them up and kept on going. I can't even BEGIN to get into the finer complexities of a movie like this, it gives so many messages in it its incredible. Never give up, don't stop what you want to reach as a goal just because others don't see the point, don't do drugs (just kidding).

Anyway, the graphics were quite obviously genius, the style is quite obviously genius, the violence is definitely a ten, the sound was perfectly sync-ed, and the idea of a green clown with a mask on DJing a rave in Nevada in the middle of random military installation is HILARIOUS. Add it all up, its all there.

10 and 5 are required for such an outstanding work of Flash, and I'm glad I have been given the privelege to add to the definitely correct score and review average score. Krinkels: you... are... the man...

It was a pretty blah movie

I couldn't give you a decent vote, not because the music was bad, but because it was just loud. The way it fit in with the movie and the sound FX it was more of a war on the watcher's ears than the stick figures with each other. The action was pretty good, but a very tired concept executed in very similar fashion to what's been done a million times before.

Not a very stylin' movie, stick figures fighting a war is older than newgrounds.

Not graphically incredible either, but not horrible, at least this stick figure movie had backgrounds, action, lasting movement, and an actual idea.

I'll give you points on the violence though, it was definitely a violent movie

Since I just took the SAT, I'd have to say the best word that describes this movie is: cacaphonous. if you don't know what it means look it up

Yes, you have submitted something to Newgrounds

now for step two: make it good

Flashing screens are usually there to hide a flash artist's inability to animate something well. It is a nice touch that you included reviews in your flash, now if only you would heed them.

Yes, stuff moved-- graphics: 1

yes, there was sound... it hurt-- sound: 0

horray for looping pointlessness-- interactivity: 0

Can't say I've seen anything quite that obnoxious in a long time-- style: a generous 2

This flash is as funny as AIDS-- Humor: 0

violently annoying, but not quite violent-- violence: 0

Overall: you get a 1, cherish it well, its a generous score for this steaming pile of an .swf file. Making this flash is probably not at all dissimilar to taking a shit, molding it into a mug, and then drying it out for daily use. I'm sure you can pass it off as the real deal, but its still just a piece of shit.

Good stuff

I really like Something Corporate, and currently I'm working on a video for "She Paints Me Blue." Anyways, on this flash, the graphics were pretty good, they fit with the sound quite well (excellent song). No humor... there didn't need to be any so don't worry about it.

No real interactivity save for the play button, hence the two. I really liked the still image style of the flash, the pictures weren't that bad. No violence either, not quite sure why I put a two there.

Overall, a solid 6-7. I chose to put a six because it isn't exactly the most outstanding piece of flash work ever, but it is definitely a good work.

Thanks for the feedback man

All my 5 R belong to Luis

BWA HA HA HA HA. Luis, that was the best thing ever. I like the Newgrounds Time Trials, they usually provide outstanding flashes, and authors shortcomings are made up by the outstanding abilities of other authors.

Graphics: 9 because they were really good graphics on all of them.

Style: 10 because of the style of all the flashes being unique and good, plus the overall style (the Time Trials concepts is really cool)

Sound: 10, especially for Luis' flash, the sound was just perfectly synced to the short.

Violence: 10, mainly because of Az3r's flash, not too much to explain here.

Interactivity: 9 because each flash was interconnected well and all included back to main as well as replay buttons and anything else they wanted to add.

Humor: 10... Luis' was hilarious, and the others were good as well.

Overall a definite 10 and a 5 for the vote.

I'd love to do one of these things someday, but I've just started to really learn how to do flash, and none of the movies I have are finished so I haven't submitted anything yet, or even begun to be good at flash.

Excellent

HA HA HA, best... preloader... EVAR!!!

I thought this was a quality flash. I happen to like how the La Maquina sounds (I take spanish) and the story, I thought was very original.

graphics: loved the graphics, well drawn, obvious effort.

Style: great style, I've always been a fan of this jumpy style.

Sound: good, the spanish music sets the mood well, especially with the title.

Violence, not really violent, other than a man being sucked into a machine.

Interactivity: it had a start and replay button, I liked how it was a button similar to arcade game buttons, nice touch.

Humor: I found it slightly amusing to have a child's machine sucking people in and turning them in to dolls, but maybe I'm just wierd.

Overall, 9/10, and I really enjoyed it.

Completely Worthy Flash

I only review movies I absolutely love, or absolutely hate. This is a case of a movie I'm smitten with.

When I first saw this on the TT, I was amazed at how you produced that in 30 hours, truly incredible. Anyways, on to the point:

graphics: Amazing, loved the simplistic animation that used the camera to save time so characters didn't need to move much. Also, the creatures just look really cool.

Style: Great style, the look and feel of the movie is unique, and highly original, I loved the symbolism of the entire film.

Sound: Perfect sound for the flash content, I really enjoyed the background music as it set the tone beautifully (StarCraft... booya)

Violence: Perfect amounts for the movie, and used wisely to convey your idea.

Interactivity: Good, the only thing I would recommend would be a preloader that went directly in to the DVD menu after loading is finished, I'm lazy, and that clicking twice to play the movie bothers me slightly.

Humor: Not exactly a light flash, although there is some irony present which allowed for a better than zero score there.

Overall is a 10 cuz I enjoyed watching it, and really like movies that make you think (Check out Pustota)

My interpretation was a little different, as they all must be, I thought of it as not so much that the first lizard pushed the other off his perch, but that he fell and instead of recieving help he was devoured. I guess, simplified, this is a sort of golden rule flash--do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Needle responds:

Thanks for the fantastic review. It's always nice to hear that people have arrived to different conclusions than myself - I would rather people develop their own opinions than listen to mine and nod their head. Newgrounds needs a dose of Serious every now and then - it keeps things in perspective while you're wading through SWAT team flashes. :)

PS The music is a Super Metroid remix, but you were close ;)

You must enjoy wasting space

because that is clearly all this is. Its a bunch of random stuff, with no good graphics, horrible sound, and overall, blammable material. Just stop submitting stuff like this, if you put this much effort into making a good movie, I might actually enjoy it and not review with all zeros, and vote zero.

greydigger responds:

Bingo.

Fun stuff, eh?

If by "fun" you mean, "not good at all"... Then yes, this is "fun" stuff. And if by the "long awaited sequel" you mean "an afterthought to the first crap," then yes, this is indeed a "long awaited sequel. I'll be sure to "protect" such a "worthy" entry into the flash community. Graphics were "unsurpassed" and sound was "superb." Originality was nonexistent. Humor was nonexistent. violence and style... also nonexistent. If only this flash didn't have such a large group of morons voting it higher, then it would also follow along the lines of this flash's plot, originality, humor, violence, and style.

You're just jealous because i have pubes and you don't.

My lexica exude confidence like cartels' Mexicans dispute dominance while this rhyme's ever-increasing prominence brings sick-flow and I to concomitance.
