10 Game Reviews

Awesome

I didn't get to play the beta all that much, and I can't really give this game a good play since I'm stuck on my laptop and the little touch-pad is QUITE inadequate for aiming and firing simultaneously.

Anyway, I can comment on how I liked the game's overall smoothness, and the graphic's cleanness. It's well put together, and I noticed you'd mentioned some other ideas you had in store for the future that I'll be sure to check out.

Seriously though, zoom difference upgrades would be cool. Consider building it into any defense-game you might make in the future.

Very Clean

I found myself really enjoying this game, surprisingly. The controls are extremely clean and the learning curve is non-existant. The graphics are clean and the effects are great. The only gripe I had was with the repetitive sound track. I figure you could've upped the size just a little bit more and maybe worked in some more Audio Portal entries into the mix.

Great game! I'll be looking out for more from you in the future.

I thought it was good

I thought your drawings were pretty cool. I especially liked the dragons you drew. The only thing is, here on Newgrounds slide shows just don't do well. Sure, I gave you a good score that I felt reflected your work, but in most cases if things don't move around people will just zero it.

So here's what I would suggest: Keep drawing that way, but find some way to incorperate it into a simple game. Come up with a simple but cool concept, and then use your incredible drawing skills to make it look awesome. You could even jump on the bandwagon of quickly made "dating sims" that Klacid seems to be all about. Only you would be making your own graphics, so the game wouldn't feel as though everything had to be warped around the random pictures found on Google.

At any rate, I enjoyed it. You are a talented drawer, so keep up the good work!

Scha-wate

This game was great. I played it for about an hour or so like 3 times. I thought everything was very well thought out, and even though it was better than Defend your Castle and another game I remember playing that was similar to it. The graphics were nice, the sound was kind of repetitive, it would have been nice with some sound options and maybe a cool Command and Conquer background song or somesuch.

Other than that it was great, oh and also one small bug I noticed was that for some reason my air strike meter stopped charging when I went to the next level even though I had 2 workers on it. No matter how many more I bought it wouldn't charge again.

A solid 9 overall. You obviously thought the game out well and it came out well too.

Pretty helpful

I didn't know how to do that before. Now I do. Aren't you glad I was in a protective mood? I gave this a five and made the score 1.60... and I was the last vote of judgement. That protection movie is cool. Anyway, it was pretty good, the scores speak for themselves, not graphically intense, not all that good soundwise, good interactivity, not great style but not bad, and no violence or humor. Overall a solid 6. I'm glad I kept this on Newgrounds.

BWA HA HA

Well, I loved this game before, and now I love it more than life itself. You see, I found a bug in it. If you copy your music from cds in mp3 format using Windows Media Player into the default folders they specify (make sure the quality is set at its lowest) , and you play the music from that path in this game, it turns it into chipmonk music! I suggest you guys listen to the three bands I was listening to (something corporate, Jayhawks, and Simon and Milo) SOOOO FRICKIN' FUNNY. If you guys have any questions about how to do this, just AIM me (profile), and I'd also like the creator to at least reply to this, and tell me what he thinks of it. Anyway, that hilarity aside:

The game was AWESOME!!!

The actions was fun, everything was highly well done, and I was really pumped about the whole import your music type dealie (interactivity... woot)

The humor was a ten just because of this little bug thing, and there was no violence.

Stylin' game, it was awesome. I'm way to excited about this, but hearing my favorite songs jumped up to about twice the speed and a higher pitch was just hilarious.

Overall you get a 10, the game was great, the bug makes it unforgettable and an instant classic.

C'mon Crew

This game is quite obviously genius. I gave it a five, but hopefully some others will follow so this thing can pass. Graphics are great, Concept is awesomely hilarious, very stylin' (who the hell wants to have a title screen with directions and such when the object of the game is so obvious?)

Everyone: Pass this game, its definitely deserving of being on here, and should have a good score as well instead of the 1.55 it had when I voted on it

Meh

Not all that great a flash. You do have a point about pop ups like that, but the problem with those is not that windows makes them, its that windows comes with IE, and nobody bothers to download antivirus and popup blockers for it. Another solution is to download another browser, there are some pretty cool ones out there.

I'm not exactly defending windows, it does have some bugs in it, but I'd say it works well enough for me to use every day, and obviously well enough for everyone else to use every day (how else would they view this submission, and in your case make it?).

Overall, I give it a three for a review, and a 1 for a vote.

the graphics weren't good, mainly because they were windows graphics (they aren't the most incredible things you ever saw)

It was interactive... kind of.

Not overly funny, just as annoying as when those types of things actually happen.

Not stylin' all that much (again, because it was the windows style, not yours)

no violence

Only had the annoying windows bleep noise, nobody in their right mind can give you a good score for sound on this one.

Finally, if you want to do a good flash showing how much windows sucks, you ought to show some of the real error messages you can get. I swear I've seen a window that pops up and says something like: Error: Windows has encountered an unspecified error.

A solid 6

I liked it, it was pretty cool

All the scores are pretty self-explanatory on this one.

A note to everyone: there is a white button, but it isn't all that interesting, it just takes you to the original green button one. I don't remember which screen it was on, because it takes you directly to the webpage that changes when you click the button without opening a new window. A rather amusing flash, but I could have sworn I saw another one very similar to this a little while ago, I don't think it was the green button one, but oh well. Kudos for having that many messages and I'm just curious, did you actually write anything where the text was supposedly white? Or did you just leave it blank for a couple of frames?

Anyway, good job on this flash, although next time I would suggest more secrets including some animations and funny bits. This is one of the few flashes I would actually vote to keep on newgrounds despite the real lack of ability required to make it. (you've already got like 8 flashes on NG already, so at least I know you have tried in the past)

Solid game

I'm kind of on the edge in terms of enjoying punk music, but I have to say when you get a tune that sounds halfway decent on this thing you have fun regardless of the type of music being played. I enjoyed it for its good graphics, originality of concept (unless I'm mistaken there aren't any other flash games that let you make your own songs), and overall solid formula with no noticeable bugs on my part. A lot of people review flash like this based solely on their tastes in music, but this game should be reviewed on how the user experiences it. Based on that criteria, either the people who reviewed this terribly didn't play it, or didn't know how to make something good so they got frustrated and bashed on it. I thought it was quite good and it deserves to be in the number 1 slot the song I made went like this: 9-1--1---1--3----13----2----3----4-5---2-8-4--86

12--1-1----1-2---3---2----0---1-2---3-10----3-2---12

10--1-5-1-12--3-2-2-2-4-6-2-3-3-9--2--2-1-1---3-10

My lexica exude confidence like cartels' Mexicans dispute dominance while this rhyme's ever-increasing prominence brings sick-flow and I to concomitance.
