I'm getting pretty bad about updating the ol' userpage. Here're some life updates:
- Submitted my resume to one of my good friends for forwarding to his boss. If I get the job, I'll get a substantial pay raise and will perhaps live comfortably!
- Just bought a motorcycle. After an exhaustive 4-month craigslist trolling effort, I looked at and bought a 1982 Suzuki GS1100L. Literally the only problem with it is a ding on the gas tank and it needs a good shining. Ready for the price: $700. (pictured below)
- Got a book of Paul Simon arranged songs for my birthday (I'm 25 now... horray!). Currently learning 'Hearts and Bones' which many consider to be one of his finest arrangements. It's a beautiful song, slowly but surely I will master it.
- I have been eating almost exclusively vegetarian (pescatarian, actually... I eat fish but not often) for the past 2 months. I feel great and I'm pretty sure I've lost weight. Next step is hitting the gym. You'd be surprised how much you don't give a fuck about eating meat once you force yourself to stick to a schedule of not eating it. Plus, you never get that over-full feeling I always used to get constantly eating meat.
So anyway, even though the advantage of picking up a bike just after the season ends is a low price... it's gonna be sucky knowing this thing is sitting in the garage waiting for me all freakin' winter.
EDIT: I just put it on the road today. So even though the registration will expire in two weeks, at least I'll be able to drive it home and enjoy some cold-weather riding until it snows.

I've cut most meat out of my diet. Just wanted to lower my cholesterol (and it's worked) but I can't call myself vegetarian because I'm still eating fish and chicken.
ALSO OMG MOTORCYCLE!!!!!!!!

Yea, the red meat is killer (although delicious). I'm kinda doing this as preventative measures. Learning the lessons my parents are teaching through their poor health choices. The real trick will be keeping it up through my entire life.
