You pitch it pretty good, I'm impressed. I have a bit of trouble with your diction and intonation, I don't know the original... (so I'm not sure if you were just mimicking that) but you say pl-ace (and stress the l) I want to throw toast at you. Also be wary of the way you say mountain, or any other words with t in them. try to avoid the "moundin" variation...
Overall, it was nice. Folksy and quaint, I liked it. :)
I mostly just don't have any training and so can't catch my breath properly. But thanks : )
Edit: oh, it's John Denver, by the way. And it's probably also worth mentioning that I used a headset mic I was wearing to record this. So I had my face down toward the sound-hole the entire time. Doesn't make for ease of breath control. Perhaps I'll record another attempt trying to fix those intonation gripes.

Nah, most of the gold stuff just makes it too yellow and reminiscent of crystallised piss (no, really).

Overall very well done. I enjoy your vocals, soft and pleasant.
Keep pursing your musical interests. Any form of art is a great outlet for oneself to express, therapeutic for sure, capable of opening oneself to amazing heights of consciousness. Still, be ready to hear overly negative responses to your work even if it is some of your best, don't be discouraged by such things. Just stick with it.
