I've got a new guitar! It's an Ibanez AEL50SERLV, and it's beautiful. <3 the sound as well.

What's this mean for you people? Well, it means you suffer through 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' as performed by me. Mic is so quiet because my webcam mic blows and randomly interjects with max-volume static (ie: total ear rape) without warning.

I uploaded a stock photo of the guitar. Mine's got some subtle differences, and seeing it on a computer screen doesn't really do it justice.

[THE REVENGE OF EDIT]

My account is whole again. This external HDD is a MESS, it took me a solid 30 minutes to figure out where I'd put my more recent NG related shit, but lemme tell you it was a trip strolling down memory lane from all the old shenanigans of saved pics I've got backed up. Shit like screencaps of my 1000th post, ancient signatures, flash that never saw the light of day, etc. Oh, and I changed my banner 'cause I just plain love that old one I had. So there.

[I've now come back to edit this newspost almost as many times as someone has viewed and commented on it]

I'm hired again! I got a more full-time position doing IT for this company that does outsourced IT work. It's pretty cool, they gave me a loaner laptop with windows 7, I'm getting 10 bucks an hour cash at the end of the week until I finish this 'trial period' and am officially hired (at which point I'll likely be paid more, plus a buncha other cool shit/benefits). So... yay!

If you could see what I'm working with when it comes to this stupid desk... I had to put a stapler on it's side to prop the camera up, then there was downloading the right drivers (which were incompatible but I installed them anyway) to get the cam to work.

But yea, it's rare that I photo well.

Yea, I really need to learn the lyrics to these songs before attempting to record myself playing them. Having to look at the screen and read them while singing kinda kills my ability to look at the camera.

10 bucks an hour cash under the table is pretty solid, actually. It'll suck to pay taxes on 10 an hour, but I'm pretty sure by the time I'm paying taxes I'll be getting paid better.

The benefits make it worth it. They gave me a Dell latitudeD830 to use and take home with me with Windows 7 Enterprise on it, I work in an office with unlimited free coffee, boss picks up lunch constantly, yesterday I enjoyed getting paid for 3 hours of chilling in the kitchen drinking free beer at their holiday party, and they pay for the first two tests I attempt per certification.

I'm a quick learner as well... so within a year's time I'll be worth a lot more in the IT field in general. This place prepares you well in case you've got to find another job in the field. For someone who's still working on finishing school, this job is pretty much perfect.

Cannon was pretty sweet today, next time you come up we'll have to go there, for him and me, with my school discount the total was like $32. Turns out my free tickets are good for any day Sunday to Friday during the season too.
